Thank you so much for visiting the style letters! Below is a list of frequently asked questions I’ve received from readers over the years. (I update this section regularly, so please feel free to ask away!)
Who designed your blog?
The incredibly talented Lindsay Humes at White Oak Creative. Can’t recommend her enough.
On what platform do you host your blog?
I initially began the style letters on Blogger and switched to a self-hosted WordPress site on Bluehost.
Who takes your photos?
My husband and I take photos for the blog, unless otherwise noted. Lindsay Humes shot many of the photos for the style letters’ landing page and subsections.
What kind of camera do you use?
We shoot with a Canon EOS Rebel T3i and use 18-55mm and 55-250mm lenses.
May I share photographs or posts from the style letters?
All words and photos from the style letters are my own, unless otherwise credited. I would love for you to share inspiration from this site and just ask that you include a credit and link back to my original post. Thank you!
What do you do for a living?
I work in creative product development in Cleveland. In addition, I’m an editor and writer and have contributed book reviews to ELLE Magazine’s Readers’ Prize column. You can also read my series of book reviews for Cleveland’s largest newspaper, The Plain Dealer, here.
What did you study in college?
I graduated from John Carroll University with degrees in English and Philosophy. I also spent five years in Ireland as I completed two Masters degrees (M.A. Irish Studies at the National University of Ireland, Galway and M.A. Literature at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth).
Where have you traveled?
I lived in Ireland for five years and have visited England, Italy, France, Spain, the Canary Islands, Tunisia, Iceland, Mexico, Canada, and the Dominican Republic. Can’t wait to add to that list.
Why did you decide to start a blog?
Since I was a little girl, I wanted to write and edit for a fashion magazine, but my career path never took me to New York. I realized I needed to create my own opportunities as a writer, and starting a style blog allowed me to write about everything I love and be my own editor, so to speak.
What’s your policy on working with brands?
How can I work with the style letters?
I would love to work with you if you think we’d be a good fit together. I’m interested in the following:
- sponsored posts
- hosting giveaways
- writing product reviews
- blog collaborations
- contributing guest posts or features to your site
Site statistics available upon request. In addition, I offer styling services for personal wardrobes and blog shoots. Please email email@example.com for availability and rates.
Where do you get the clothes and accessories you feature in your style posts?
I provide information for all clothing and accessories featured at the very end of the post, usually under the last photograph. When possible, I suggest a similar alternative for items that are not current.
