Maybe it’s because Mom would let me pick out a new dress for Easter every year, but I always look forward to this particular Sunday best. Soft pastels, spring brights, coordinating shoes – is there anything better than devouring a giant chocolate bunny in a super cute outfit?
The answer is no, there is not.
This past weekend, I partnered with Kickin’ Maternity in Chicago to find a dress for the holiday. Let’s talk about this adorable bow dress by Leota. The easy drape of this jersey fabric and the three-quarter length sleeves are incredibly flattering, while still comfortable for the bump. Whimsical bows call for equally sweet jewelry, and Kate Spade’s striped necklace and white gumdrop studs do the trick. Block heels and a white bag add a fun retro feel, while my favorite jean jacket keeps away the spring breeze. I can’t wait to wear this on our babymoon this weekend!
And because I can’t stop at just one (read: shopping problem), I fell in love with yet another Leota dress. The sweetheart neckline is so incredibly feminine and folds beautifully; this is one dress that magically flatters every curve on a pregnant body. The cap sleeves add a 40’s feel to the dress, so I paired it with nude colorblock peep-toes, rose gold accents, and a mint foldover clutch. Bonus? This dress is perfect for nursing moms and will be a pretty option for Baby Mac’s baptism this summer.
