This month, Chicago blogger Rachel of An Eventful Life shares three ways to wear her favorite color combination of the summer.

Hi there! I’m Rachel from An Eventful Life, a lifestyle blog featuring recipes, DIY projects, fashion, and entertaining advice. Thanks for having me, Maria!
When Maria asked me to write this month’s Style Views, I knew I wanted to talk about one of my favorite color combinations for this time of year. Both classic and fun, pink and navy just shout summertime to me. I find myself gravitating to these colors frequently during the summer, so here are three ways I’ve styled pink and navy for the office, for weekends, and for happy hour.
For The Office:
I’m lucky enough to work at an office that is pretty casual, but on days when I need to dress up, I still like to bring some color to my look. Pink and navy is conservative enough to be appropriate for client meetings, but still show off a little bit of personality.
For The Weekend:
This tote comes everywhere with me in the summer. From the farmer’s market to the beach, it’s my go-to, not only because it’s roomy enough to toss in lots of farmer’s market treats, but also because – you guessed it – the colors. I’ve had it for a few years, and I don’t ever tire of it because it goes with everything.
For Rooftop Happy Hour:
For days when it’s not warm enough for dresses and skirts, I like to throw on a pair of white jeans and layers of pinks and blues on top. I still feel dressed appropriately for the season, but also warm enough for the cooler Chicago nights.

Love this preppy color combo, Rachel! You always look so cute. Thanks for sharing your favorite summer looks with us!
