Floral Frocks

Dear Readers,

Spring is in full bloom and so is my wardrobe. It’s time to break out the floral frocks.

And in a sea of pastels, I find myself gravitating to this season’s moodier options. Think deep navy backgrounds, muted prints with just a hint of color, and unexpected details, like the flirty keyhole here. It’s an updated version of the spring favorite and dare I say it, even a little romantic.

The easy silhouette lends itself to just a few fresh-picked accessories. Taking a page out of J.Crew’s Style Guide, I paired it with silver metallic pumps and this sparkling statement piece from BaubleBar. The finishing touch? A cornflower blue clutch picks up the same shade of blue scattered across the dress. Petal perfect.

  • LOVE this floral dress! I saw it but walked away and now that you’ve featured it I’m definitely going back for it! And those shoes! Sometimes Target really surprises me with their collections. Those are really cute!

    • Thank you so much! I ended up buying this dress for $42 and know that I’ll wear it all year long. How cute would it be with navy tights and a bright cardigan or blazer in the fall/winter? I’m a big fan of seasonless dressing.

Would love to hear how you style yours!

  • Looking lovely, my friend!!! I want that dress.

    • Thank you so much, Jessica! I couldn’t say no to this dress, especially with 40% off the sale price at the store. I’ll wear it all year long, with everything. I highly recommend it!

  • That dress is STUNNING! The print is absolute perfection.

    • Thank you so much, Alissa! I agree–it’s definitely one of the most beautiful prints I’ve seen from J.Crew in a long time. (I say that about everything they do, but this time, I really mean it!) The little pops of cornflower blue are just perfect. 🙂

  • Kim

Pretty dress, I love a simple shift style and the floral on this one is lovely!

    • Thank you so much, Kim! I am definitely with you there–I find myself gravitating towards simple shift dresses, especially those with a boxier shape. It’s very 60’s inspired, not to mention extremely comfortable. My closet has seen the addition of a few of these dresses in recent months… 🙂

      Thanks for reading!
