Truth be told, I’m as excited for holiday parties as I am for the lazy days after, when I can curl up with a good book and catch up on some reading. My first book of 2014? Alexa Chung’s style scrapbook, It.
And model-turned-TV host Alexa Chung is cool. Ridiculously cool. Much like Kate Moss, Chung’s effortless look influences a sea of followers on both sides of the Atlantic, and it all comes from staying true to her own sense of style.
Her first book, It, chronicles Chung’s style journey and the many inspirations along the way that have shaped her identity and influenced her wardrobe. It covers everything from early style muses (most notably, the Spice Girls and her Grandpa Kwan) to thoughts on love, music, and the perfect cat eye. Quirky drawings and candid photos are sprinkled throughout, revealing a more personal side to the former model. Readers will be pleasantly surprised to find that It is less a book about fashion and more on how one’s personal style came to be.
